Wondering “who” would be a surrogate? Reading these short bios will give you an idea of what our surrogates are like and why they have chosen this special path. Most of our surrogates are married and most work outside the home. Most of our surrogates know someone, a friend or family member or gay couple, who has struggled to have a child and they’ve seen the intense longing firsthand. Most of our surrogates live near extended family and exemplify the Midwestern values of hard work, friendliness, openness, honesty and integrity. ALL of our surrogates are raising their own children and recognize that their lives would be so incomplete without them (which is why they want to help you). The surrogates shown on this page have been matched and some have already completed their journey but they are very representative of those currently waiting to be matched.

My name is Tara and I live in Eldorado, WI.  I have been married for 9 years and have two amazing boys.  I have decided to get involved as a gestational carrier to help fulfill your dream of having a child of your own. For a while, my husband and I weren't sure if we could have our own children. We had to go through IVF to have our boys and it was worth every penny. We had male factor infertility which left us with IVF as our only option. We had to go through 2 cycles the first time (1 fresh and 1 frozen), and only 1 fresh cycle to have our second son. Since I have been through the IVF process myself there are no unknown factors for me with that, which is one reason I think I would make a great carrier. I also had very easy pregnancies once I got pregnant with the boys. Lastly, I think it would be awesome and amazing to help someone achieve their dream of becoming a family.

My name is Sheri and I live in Kenosha, WI.  My husband and I met at work, and have been married for 16 years.  I am fortunate to be able to stay at home while raising our daughter and our son.  My goal is to make life as easy and loving as I can for my family.  I enjoy being around children; at times, I have cared for other children after school.  We pay attention to healthy eating habits and now buy mostly organic food.  Our family loves animals, and we currently have two Labrador Retrievers and several guinea pigs.  We love to spend time at the family cabin, enjoying fishing and the beauty of nature.  I make a great gestational carrier because I love to help people.  I have carried for two other couples in the past (yes, I am now on my third surrogate pregnancy ) and it makes me so very happy to know that families are now complete.

My name is Kerri and I live in Appleton, WI.  My husband and I are from Minnesota, but we moved to WI in 2004.  We met in high school and got married in 2006.  After 15 years total together we couldn't be happier.  We have two beautiful children, a boy and a girl that we absolutely adore.  I work full time as a phlebotomist at an OB/GYN clinic.  I enjoy my occupation very much, it is so much fun to be involved with women's health and pregnancy.  I am so excited to start this process, I have been thinking of becoming a gestational carrier since the birth of my son.  I have had two amazing uncomplicated and easy pregnancies and I just love being pregnant.  Our family is now complete but I would love to be able to give someone the very special gift of a child.  I have had the opportunity to work with a few gestational carriers at my job, and I just think it is such an amazing thing to be able to do for someone.

My name is Stacie and I live in Shiocton, WI.  I grew up in the inner city of Milwaukee but I always loved animals and had a passion for horses.  I followed my dreams and worked hard to get where I am today.  My husband and I own a 30-stall horse boarding and training facility.  I get to teach horses and students of all ages.  I have traveled all over the U.S., competing at both National and World levels successfully.  My husband and my son are everything that I live for.  Being able to spend time with them daily on our farm is priceless, which is why I have chosen to be a surrogate.  Although I do get to work with children daily, there is no way to describe the love and happiness that come from having a child of your own.  As a surrogate, I would like to give this gift to another couple.

My name is Chelsie and I live in Baraboo, WI, in a house that we built two years ago.  I have been married for 10 years and we have three amazing children (all born 16 months apart!).  I enjoy working out, taking walks, and shopping (which my husband says I am very good at), and I am the president of the parent group at my children’s school.  My husband coaches baseball and football for our boys, and he also likes to work in the yard and make things in the garage.  I have decided to become a gestational surrogate because I am done having my own children, I enjoy being pregnant, and I think everyone should be able to experience the joys of raising a family.  I have thought about being a surrogate for five years, and now believe that my family and I are ready to begin this amazing journey.

My name is BriAnne and I live in Waukesha, WI with my husband and three daughters.  I studied Early Childhood Development but am now a stay-at-home mom busy raising our children.  We are extremely close with our families, who live in the area.  Our favorite thing to do is visit a nearby family farm and spend time with the animals.  During my last pregnancy, I had a strong feeling that I should become a surrogate.  I discussed it with my husband and he was very supportive.  My children are my greatest gift and I would love to help another family feel this way.  I am young, energetic, love being pregnant, and love helping others.  My pregnancies have been easy and uncomplicated and my doctor says I am one of a few patients who smiles from week one to week 40!

My name is Amber and I live in Janesville, WI.  My husband and I have been together for 9 years and married for 3 years, and we now work for the same company.  We have a son and daughter and our family is complete.  We love to spend time outside, whether mushroom-hunting in spring or fishing year-round we love the outdoors!  As a family, we are very easy-going, laid back, and flexible.  Our oldest is now in school and our youngest is cared for by Grandma  & Grandpa and Auntie while we are at work.  We make a good gestational carrier team because we put our health and safety first, followed by fun.  I absolutely LOVED being pregnant, and found the whole experience fascinating and exciting.  We try to learn and grow from every new situation and we believe there will be a lot of learning through being a surrogate.  Our family is very complete with five of us (includes our dog) and now we would like to help complete someone else’s family.

My name is Amanda and I live in Sturgeon Bay.  I have been married for 11 years and I’m currently a stay-at-home mom and artist.  I love to create things, and one way I do this is by making clothing and toys for our son and daughter.  I also love to travel and have been to Alaska, Texas, Jamaica and Italy.   We live a very healthy lifestyle; together we like to cook and take walks and bike rides.  I drink only green tea for caffeine.  We join a farm share for veggies every summer and we have our own small garden too.  We also have a small flock of back yard chickens. They provide us with eggs and entertainment. I truly enjoy being pregnant and would love to be pregnant again, yet we have a boy and a girl and my husband and I both feel our family is complete.  I am patient, honest, creative and reliable, and these traits will help me be a great surrogate.  My aunt’s struggle with infertility has also influenced my decision to become a surrogate.  Carrying someone else’s baby seems like the perfect fit for me in this stage of my life

My name is Heather and I live in Mauston, WI.  I met the love of my life while were in high school; we dated for years, and married in 2008.  We have two children, a boy and a girl, and our family is complete.  We keep very busy and we are always up for a family adventure!  Serving as a gestational carrier was something I had considered for a long time. Suffering through a miscarriage made me appreciate pregnancy, and my children, even more. My children complete my life and fulfill me in a way I cannot put into words.  Additionally, over the past several years, we’ve witnessed very close friends struggle with issues of infertility.  I loved being pregnant and I had incredibly healthy pregnancies.  Our children are the light of our lives, and our greatest gift.  I thought about how it would be an honor to give that same gift to another couple, and now that I’ve gone through the process I would be willing to do it again in a heartbeat!
